How to register sdn bhd company in Malaysia?
When you have decided to register a company in Malaysia, you will need to engage the
service of a company secretary to help you to complete the company registration
process.
Every company (sdn bhd) must have at least one company
secretary in the Board and the company secretary must be a member of a
professional body or licensed by SSM Malaysia.
What are needed to register company?
Your company secretary will require the following documents
or information from you in order to proceed the company registration
process:
- New company’s name
- New company’s business activities
- Identity card (Malaysian) or Passport (Foreigner) of at least 1 director & 1 shareholder
- Residential & Email addresses of all directors & shareholders
- Shareholding structure
Upon receiving the above documents, the company secretary
will submit the Name Reserve Application to SSM Malaysia via MYCOID system for
their approval of using the name in the new company.
The company secretary will prepare the registration
documents after the approval for new company’s name has been obtained from SSM.
What you need to do to register company?
You and your partner must sign all registration documents
that prepared by the company secretary, most of time at the company secretary’s
office. You will normally be required to pay full payments before the company
secretary can proceed to the next action.
What will be submitted to register company?
Once all the above have been done, the company secretary
will submit the following information to SSM via MyCOID system for the company registration purposes:
- Details of directors
- Details of shareholders
- Business activities of the company
- Number of shares & types
- Registered address
How long does it take to register company?
Within 1-3 working days, SSM Malaysia will issue the Notice
of Registration via email.
The issuance of Notice of Registration indicates that your
new company has been successfully incorporated with SSM Malaysia and you may
now start your business immediately!
